After completing my BAEd in Primary education at Goldsmiths College, University of London I moved back to my home town of Reigate in Surrey. There I took up the post of Year One class teacher at Reigate St. Mary’s Preparatory and Choir School, a co-educational private school from two and nine months to eleven. I spent 4 years teaching there, teaching Year One and then Year Three and coordinating Special Educational Needs throughout the school for 3 years.
I spent a short time living and studying in Barcelona at the Windsor Schools, where I studied for a Trinity College TESOL Certificate. Prior to attending Goldsmiths College I studied at The Reigate School of Art and Design for two years. I studied all forms of general art and design along with art history. In my second year I specialized in textiles.
I have been at the British school of Chicago for one year and have thoroughly enjoyed my time here. I have enjoyed my first year in Chicago by taking advantage of the many opportunities the city has to offer and continuing my passion for art by attending ceramics class. I start this year with a fresh look on a new role as the art and Design Technology teacher for Nursery to Year Two.
