I came from the other side of the Lake, being born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. New York City has been my home for the past five years, where I got my Bachelor of Arts degree at the New York School of Interior Design. Throughout this time, I was also a nanny in NYC for a couple of families. I loved my design work, but as graduation grew close, I realized that my first love was teaching and being around children.
After graduating in December of 2007, I went backpacking with my sister around Europe where we stayed in hostels and traveled mostly by train. Aside from traveling, I also enjoy camping, music festivals, boating and playing tennis. I’m happy to be back in the Midwest and excited to be working with children once again.
