I was born and raised here in Chicago, Illinois. I graduated from De Paul University in December of 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education. In March of 2008, I worked for the Chicago Public School System as a substitute teacher; this has allowed me to work with children from ages three to thirteen, and this experience has helped me grow as an educator. In the near future, I would like to go back to school for my Masters Degree in Education and also pursue certification as a nurse-midwife. I'm not sure which will happen first, but it is my hope that one accomplished goal will not be too far from the other.

I love to spend some of my free time around the city's many museums, and I really enjoy live theater. I may be biased, but I think Chicago is a wonderful place that provides many venues for the exchange of laughter and learning. When I'm not out and about, I enjoy trying my hand at Suki-e painting, or learning one of my chosen six foreign languages.

I can't begin to explain how excited I am to be part of the staff at the British School of Chicago. It is my greatest desire to make the most of this opportunity by sharing my knowledge and learning as much as I can from the students, their families, and the rest of the staff this school year.
