Miss. M Mulvie

My name is Maeve Mulvie and I was born in Scotland. In September I will be starting as the new Year 1 teacher at the British School of Chicago.
I studied for an Art and Design degree in Manchester, England during which I also studied for a semester in a university in Australia. I then completed my PGDE in primary education at Glasgow University. For the past year I have been teaching in a primary school on the outskirts of Glasgow in Scotland and I have found this to be an enjoyable and rewarding time. I am now thrilled at the prospect of teaching a Year 1 class in Chicago and look forward to planning lots of interesting and inspiring learning opportunities for the children.
I am also excited about my impending move to the United Staes of America, as having spent some time holidaying in the USA I am aware of all the cultural attractions Chicago has to offer. In my free time I hope to be able to explore the city and continue with my hobbies such as painting.
I look forward to meeting you and my new class in August and to ensuring your children make a smooth transition into Year 1.
