Mr. A Justice
Physical Education

I studied for both my first degree and my PGCE in Physical Education at The University of Liverpool before I began my teaching career at Ribblesdale High School Technology College in Clitheroe, Lancashire. I taught in Lancashire for 3 happy years before moving back to Oxford where I had grown up and attended school. I began teaching at the newest of the Oxford schools, St. Gregory the Great, where I continued to develop my subject knowledge in PE, taking on new courses such as AS and A’ Level PE, and new sports including Trampolining. I also maintained my own interest and developed Basketball, Volleyball and Softball as well as running various practises and teams in local and national competition.
I was privileged to be asked to move in to the pastoral side of education by becoming a Head of Year, in which I took the same year group through their GCSE exam courses for two years. I loved the challenge of being a Head of Year to 184 students and look forward to using the skills learnt whilst teaching in Chicago.
I can’t wait to make the move to the USA where I am keen to further develop the PE department and work with all the students to make PE one of their favourite subjects. I love to play Basketball, Softball, Volleyball and most other sports and am sure that the students at the British School of Chicago will provide me with equalled enthusiasm for PE as whole.
Although having never been to Chicago I have travelled extensively in the USA and read American Studies as part of my first degree. I also took part in the Camp America programme which entailed living in up state New York for 3 months teaching Basketball and Waterskiing in a residential camp.
I look forward to becoming part of the team at The British School of Chicago and I’m sure that I will enjoy the life that Chicago can offer me.
