Miss. C Bradford

I was born in South Wales, and have spent my life in Wales and South Yorkshire. After studying for my degree at Aberystwyth University and working at the National Assembly for Wales in Cardiff, I decided that teaching was the career for me, and moved to Carmarthen to study for a PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate in Education).
I currently work as a Year 4 teacher at a Primary School in Penarth, South Wales. I am a member of a curriculum team co-ordinating IPC and Music; and have responsibility for developing and maintaining extra curricular music and international links.
I have been particularly interested in the promotion and development of Assessment for Learning over the past few years, as I am passionate about learning, and about empowering children to take more of an active role in furthering their own education. One of my essential roles as teacher is to ensure the children feel safe, happy and enthusiastic in their classroom environment, so they feel secure and confident enough to enjoy learning.
I am very excited about my move to Chicago in August and eager to meet, and work with, all the pupils, staff and parents.
