Carey Polacek
Clarinet, Flute, Saxophone & Music Theory Tutor

Carey Polacek has performed throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. She presented solo recitals in France and Quebec and performed on a Wind Symphony tour in Venice, Florence, Rome, Montreux, and southern Germany. Ms. Polacek has a Master’s degree from Northwestern University and a Bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University, both in Music Performance, where she studied with Frederick Hemke and John Sampen. Ms. Polacek performed as a soloist with the Bowling Green Symphonic Band, and was seen on NBC in Toledo. As an active performer and commissioner of new music, she has performed modern works at the Society of Composers, Inc, the 13th World Saxophone Congress in Minneapolis, and has given recitals and masterclasses in Alabama, Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Missouri, and Georgia. In addition to maintaining a private studio, Ms. Polacek is on the faculty at Vandercook College of Music and Oakton Community College.
