Nursery and Reception

Now accepting Reception applications for September 2008 due to high demand, limited spaces available please apply now.

 

The application process begins by submitting the application form (icon BSC_Registration_ Packet) along with the $150 application fee or Apply Online  for Secure Online Payment.

Upon receipt of the application form and fee, your application will be 'date stamped';  the Admissions Office will schedule a tour, parent conference and a date and time for your child's assessment.

Reception applicants must also send:

  • teacher elvaluation form found under 'Required Forms'

Tour

 Parent's who have submitted an application form along with the application fee will be given a tour of the school's Foundation department (Nursery and Reception).

Parent Conferences

Parents who have submitted an application form along with the application fee will, following their school tour of the Foundation department (Nursery and Reception), meet with a member of the Admissions Office.

Child Assessments

At these 'play dates' each Nursery applicant will be individually assessed by a team of Nursery staff and Admissions staff and each Reception applicant will be individually assessed by a team of Reception staff and Admissions staff as to their readiness to participate in the Nursery or Reception programs.  These assessments will consist of how well the child separates, their interaction with other pupils and some tasks which will assist with identifying their readiness for attending the British School of Chicago.
