I was born and raised in Chicago where I attended parochial school for both my upper and lower years. I am a graduate from Columbia College Chicago where I received a Bachelor of the Arts degree in Cultural Studies. My concentration was in race and gender studies. As an undergraduate, I composed a thesis analyzing the social construction present in American culture.

Throughout my collegiate studies I have taken a vast array of liberal education courses, from race, class, and gender studies, to religious studies, literature, psychology, and art and design. I dedicated my first years of education at Columbia College to art and design, where I studied in the fashion design program.

My dedication to social service and education has brought me here, to the British School of Chicago, where I intend to use my skills as a second year learning assistant to help with the learning of every child. As I continue my schooling with a graduate degree in education, I feel that the skills I have learned and acquired at the British School of Chicago will broaden my ability to continue to teach Chicago’s youth.
