I grew up in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and attended both the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois for short periods of time before moving to Chicago, where I have lived for the past eight years. I received a Bachelors degree in Theatre Performance from Roosevelt University in 2003, and I have recently begun work toward a Masters degree at DePaul University. This degree will focus on Mathematics Education, and it includes all of the course work necessary for me to become a certified teacher in Illinois. I hope to someday teach Math at the high school or middle school level.

During my undergraduate studies, I touched on some rather diverse subjects, beginning focused primarily on Mathematics and Engineering, and then changing midstream to study Theatre. I have taken many classes in Acting, Directing, Movement, Voice, and Musical Theatre, along with having participated in several productions, both on and off stage. I also sang in choirs and took classical voice lessons for many years.

I am very excited to have the opportunity to work with the children and teachers at the British School of Chicago for a second year, to gain more valuable insight and experience as I work toward becoming a teacher myself.
