Miss D Jones

I was born in a small town in Devon in the south-west of England. Through my dual British / French Canadian heritage I developed a love of languages, which continued through to higher education when I graduated with a Joint Honours degree in French and Italian from the University of Leeds. I then went on to achieve my Post Graduate Certificate of Education at the University of Nottingham.
My teaching experience has seen me travel to Honduras where I taught in a bi-lingual, Spanish / English school and to Italy and France. In the UK I have taught pupils in the south and north of England in a variety of age groups.
I am very excited to start my second year of teaching in Year One at the British School of Chicago. I enjoy the challenge of stimulating and encouraging both the academic and social side of the children in my class. I also relish the opportunity to teach French to the four Year One classes this year.
I look forward to an exciting year with my new class of Dashing Dragons!
