British School of Chicago Receives British Consul General Award
School recognized for outstanding growth, unique contribution to Chicago

The British School of Chicago was proud to receive the 2006 British Consul General Award for its unique contribution to Chicago’s educational community and its outstanding growth since the school was established in 2001. The award was presented by the British-American Business Council at a special ceremony on Sept. 27.

“This award is an important milestone for our school as we continue teaching our students to be citizens of the world,” said Michael Horton, headmaster of the BSC. “The British style of education has proved to be very appealing to American and expatriate families looking for a broadly based curriculum that develops a love of learning and helps children to become responsible, independent, self-disciplined people who are prepared to live in this diverse world community.”
