Miss K Ferns
I studied at St Mary's College, Strawberry Hill, Twickenham where I gained a BA Hons degree in Drama and Education. I then continued my studies at St Marys with a further year in order to receive my PGCE in Primary Education.
Before coming to Chicago I spent two years teaching a Year 5 class in Crawley, West Sussex where I had responsibility for Modern Foreign Languages.
My first year at the school has given me valuable experience as I have had responsibility for a year 5 class as well as providing additional support in year 3 and teaching French to a nursery class.
I have enjoyed my first year in Chicago taking advantage of the many opportunities the city has to offer. I have enjoyed working with year 5 and learnt a lot from teaching in an International setting. I have a great thirst for learning and I look forward to continuing working with the children at the British School to develop their passion for learning even further.
