After completing a Biology degree at the University of Plymouth, I went on to do a PGCE at the University of Wales. I began my teaching career in London, first at Forest School, then progressing to Science Co-ordinator and Head of Year at St Dunstan's College. During this time I studied for my Masters Degree which I received in 2003.

I have been working at the British School of Chicago for the past four years and been fortunate to be part of a fast growing and successful school. I have really enjoyed the experience of living and working in Chicago as it has provided me with many exciting opportunities. Whilst in Chicago, I have taught in Key Stages 1-3 and have held various responsibilities; I have been involved with the International Primary Curriculum for the last two years, I have also been responsible for Primary Science and have been a member of the Senior Management Team. I am looking forward to my new role where I will be involved in the development of the primary curriculum, involved in assessment and in-service provision.
