In 2003, I moved from South Wales to join the staff at the British School of Chicago. I studied at the University of Wales in Cardiff and in 2000, I graduated with a BA Hons in Primary Education with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status). Since then, I have been awarded both a Masters in Education and Postgraduate Certificate of Professional Studies in Education from the Open University, UK.

I began my teaching career nine years ago at Rougemont School in South Wales where I taught Year Three for three years and had curriculum responsibility for ICT and Music.

I am now in my sixth year at the British School of Chicago. During my time at BSC, I have seen the school grow from 100 to 450 pupils and a move to our new facility. I have also had the opportunity to teach Year Three and History and Geography to Years 5-9. I am currently the Music specialist teacher of students in Years 3 – 10, Band Director and Deputy Leader of Key Stage 3.
